Coleman wilderness tents come in many shapes and sizes. my childhood camping was nothing like what you have now days. We would drive to where we would camp, and lift huge rolled or folded up bags, out of the car or off the trailer as they were just so big back then.

The sides you could not touch when wet, as the water would then leak through soaking everything that touched the side. To us back then this was fun when not raining.

Camping was away to get out of every day life that we lead, even no camping is great a getaway to nature and meeting like, minded people, escaping the rat race we live in. The improvement in camping gear now days light weight tents, gas stoves, gas lighting.

The bedding that you sleep on, now light weight and comfortable, light weight folding chairs, everything fits in the boot of the average family car now days. The equipment you can buy, you can still go camping without all the gear, just a good tent and bedding from home, will get you there having fun around, an open fire cooking.

A few cast iron cooking pots, will make cooking on hot coals in the fire a lot easier, than pots you use at home. You could take the kitchen sink, but a plastic bucket and large plastic bowl will do for washing up.

Be sure to take water purification tablets you can trust any water no mater how clean it looked, a friend and I drunk that water, what looked like clear clean water, we were catching trout to eat in it. Well week later back in the big city we were off to the doctors, we had got hepatitis b.
